In this episode of Repair and Replace, Vance shows how to replace the blower motor & capacitor in a furnace. The blower fan pushes air over the heat exchanger and circulates it around your home. If the blower motor fails, then the furnace might cycle on and off and won't function properly. Capacitors are used to energize the start winding in many furnace motors. Capacitors can weaken or fail over time, which can prevent the motor from starting properly, so it's best to also replace the capacitor when replacing a furnace motor.
